Thiruvananthapuram schools hit centum mark

In the ICSE10th grade examination, 148 students appeared from Holy Angels ISC School.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several schools in the capital city had cent per cent results in the Class X ICSE and Class X11 ISC exams conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. S. Meenakshi, 10th grade student of Holy Angels ISC School, at Nanthencode was the topper in Kerala and also bagged the national third rank in the ICSE exam. Sixty-three students had appeared for the ISC 12th grade exam at Holy Angels ISC School, Nanthencode. 38 girls scored a distinction, 22 first class and three second classes were achieved. In the science stream, A. L. Minnu topped with 94.25 per cent in the science stream and Saira Zita Thomas became the topper in the commerce stream with 89.25 percent from Holy Angels ISC School, Nanthencode.

In the ICSE10th grade examination, 148 students appeared from Holy Angels ISC School. Of them, 135 scored a distinction and 13 girls bagged a first class. S. Meenakshi is the school topper with 99 per cent followed by Neha Binny (97.16 per cent) and M. Mathangi (97 per cent). In the ICSE 10th results, Loyola School achieved 85 distinctions and a first class out of a total of 86 who appeared for the exam. In the ISC 12th grade exam, 40 scored distinctions and seven bagged first class at Loyola School.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kunnumpuram recorded 100 per cent pass in both ICSE and ISC 2017 examination. Of the 77 who appeared in ICSE, 51 got a distinction and 22 got a first class. Sai. S. Kalyan stood first with 97.33 per cent. For ISC, of the 29 who appeared, 17 achieved a distinction and 11 got a first class. Adeesaya. D topped by securing 96.25 per cent. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya added one more feather to its cap - in the ICSE stream 164 students appeared of which 146 got a distinction and 18 students got a first class. Gokul L.P. bagged the first position by securing 586 out of 600 and Rini Raju became the second highest getting 583 out of 600. In the ISC stream, 82 students appeared and 62 got a distinction.

Adhithyaa G. secured the top position with 98 per cent by scoring 490 out of 500 and Fabi Rasheed, the second top scorer with 488 out of 500. Of the 23 students who appeared for the ISC 2017 Examination at L'ecole Chempaka,Thiruvananthapuram, 19 passed with distinction and two with first class. In the Science stream, G. Govardhan Giri topped with 94.25 per cent followed by Madhuri Rajkumar with 92 per cent. A. R. Ashitha and Roshani Sivakumar shared the first rank with 92 per cent in the Commerce stream followed by Maria B Thekaekara with 91.75 per cent.
