Excise minister T P Ramakrishnan honours Kozhikode Medical College doctors

The minister said the hospital had provided the public with best services and infrastructure facilities.

KOZHIKODE: The diamond jubilee celebrations of Kozhikode Government Medical College opened on Monday by excise minister T.P. Ramakrishnan, honouring the doctors who retired this year. The minister said the hospital had provided the public with best services and infrastructure facilities and he experienced it when he was admitted here with a heart ailment a month ago.

For the infrastructure development of cardiology department, he said, Rs 1.5 crore has been sanctioned, besides 13 ventilators each by from the MLA fund of 13 MLAs in the district as a gift to the diamond jubilee celebration. “I will try my best to uplift the standards of the hospital," he said. MCH principal V.P. Sasidharan honoured the doctors with gifts at the function presided over by Pradeep Kumar MLA. Purushan Kadalundi MLA, Mayor Thottathil Raveendran, Deputy Mayor Meera Darshak and councillors were also present.
