Tanker rams into parking lot after driver suffers fits attack

Hyderabad: Two cars and six two-wheelers were damaged when a loaded HPCL tanker rammed into them at the Ghatkesar RTC bus stand late Saturday night. Locals had parked their vehicles on the old Ghatkesar road and were shopping on the other side of the road, police said.

Tanker driver K. Srinivas filled the vehicle at the Aushapur HPCL filling station and was proceeding towards Ghatkesar when he reportedly had a fits attack, lost control over the steering and rammed into the vehicles.

“Srinivas told us that he had a fits attack and had lost control,” said Ghatkesar inspector V. Ashok Reddy. Police registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the driver and seized the tanker.
