NTPC Simhadri Holds Stakeholders' Meet for Community Development

Visakhapatnam: NTPC Simhadri hosted a ‘CSR Stakeholders Meet’ at its premises on Friday. The event, aligned with CSR policy guidelines, was aimed at enhancing engagement with stakeholders and fostering a collective approach to uplift the surrounding communities.

The meeting featured active participation from Sarpanches representing Project Affected Villages of Simhadri.

B.B. Patra, head of human resources, emphasised the meeting’s role in interactive communication, urging collaborative efforts for developmental activities. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, head of project, expressed gratitude for the power station’s success and encouraged the involvement of youth in CSR-driven skill development. He highlighted a commitment to community needs, emphasising structured policies and transparent communication for unbiased development in all panchayats.

Detailed updates on CSR activities conducted in 2023-’24 and those in progress were shared during the meeting. The sarpanches appreciated the community developmental efforts and proposed organising a meeting with local leaders to better understand specific community needs before finalising the annual budget.
