Congress Leader Files Petition Against Vyuham'

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee vice president Meesala Rajeswara Rao on Friday filed a writ petition against the makers of movie ‘Vyuham’, in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, as it was portraying senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, in a poor light. He asked the Central Board of Film Certification not to certify the film as it was biassed and full of lies. He said the movie was made with an intention to influence the minds of the voters in favour of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan, who will face elections in a few months.

Rajeswara Rao claimed that the movie was full of lies as it portrayed Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was falsely implicated by Sonia Gandhi in the CID and ED criminal cases. He said ‘Vyuham’, directed and produced by Ram Gopal Verma and Dasari Kiran Kumar, portrayed Jagan Mohan Reddy as innocent when he was facing trial in all the CBI and ED cases pending against him. He said the film will influence the courts where his cases are to be tried and hence the certification should be stopped.
