Hyderabad: Dry fruits, 2 cartons of beer a day for big bulls
Hyderabad: For the Sadar festival celebrated after Diwali, the city will host two big bulls. Last year Mr Edla Haribabu Yadav had brought the famous bull ‘Yuvaraj’ from Haryana. He is bringing bull this year too for the Sadar on Monday.
Besides ‘Yuvaraj’, another huge bull from Haryana, ‘Virat’, will be hosted by the city by Mr Chinnaboina Sandeep Yadav from Ameerpet. He has reportedly paid Rs 5 lakh for its transport, food and maintenance apart from rent. Both are Murrah breed bulls.
Yuvaraj was worth Rs 7 crore last year which has gone up to Rs 11 crore. Virat is worth of Rs 9 crore. Yuvaraj weighs about 1,600 kg and is about 6.5 feet tall, while Virat is about 100 kg heavier and is 7 feet tall.
Both bulls eat only badam, pista and dry fruits and 100 apples a day and drink 25 litres of purified water and milk, apart from two cartons of beer.
The bulls have been exhibited across the country and abroad too. Virat is famous in European countries and there is a huge demand for its sperm. Its owner earns about Rs 70 lakh per year from selling its sperm. Each bull has six caretakers who massage them with a variety of oils twice a day.
