Kummanam Rajaksekharan for central probe in Thomas Chandy case
ALAPPUZHA: BJP state president Kummanam Rajaksekharan demanded a probe by Central agency into transport minister Thomas Chandy’s illegal activities in and around of Lake Palace resort. He was speaking to media after visiting the controversial land on Thursday. “We are not confident that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will sack Chandy. Mr Pinarayi is relishing his power. It has emboldened corrupt ministers like Mr Chandy. So we think only a probe by a Central agency will unravel the truth,” he said
In the morning at about 10 am, Mr Rajaksekharan and BJP workers reached the Marthandam Kayal area by boat. He visited all controversial lands. The BJP workers climbed a tree and plucked a coconut and handed it over to their president. He in turn handed it over to the RDO as a symbolical gesture to prove that it was revenue land. Mr K. Soman, the district president, said that they would continue to organise the protest against Mr Chandy. “The BJP has decided to implede in the Mathur Devaswom case. The visit came to an end by 12 pm,” he said.
