Hyderabad: A dermatologist who participated in the 10K segment of the Hyderabad Marathon urged people not to abuse topical creams and steroids.
Dr Rajitha Damishetty said, “Topical creams are misused.
The steroids are to be used only when prescribed by doctors and only within a certain timeframe. They should not be used for longer durations as they harm the skin. A study conducted in 12 cities has showed that 15 lakh people were suffering from topical steroid creams damage by overuse.
