CM's gesture to patients

VISHAKHAPATNAM: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has won the hearts of many in Kurupam in Parvathipuram Manyam district by his gesture of generous help to some patients and the unemployed.

The CM was in the tribal town to launch this year’s Amma Vodi scheme on Wednesday.

A couple from Gopalapuram village of Makkuva mandal in Parvathipuram mandal told the chief minister that they have been suffering from aphasia, a disease that was not listed in the Arogyasri health scheme. The CM immediately sanctioned a sum of Rs 1 lakh to the couple.

He also sanctioned another lakh to Y Ganesh of G Sigadam mandal of Srikakulam who was suffering from measles virus.

Jagan Mohan Reddy gave another one lakh to Gagana Deepak of Morakamodidam of Vizianagaram district who was suffering from fits.

The Chief Minister extended an aid of three lakhs to Betha Hasini of Parvathipuram who underwent treatment in a corporate hospital for blood cancer. The officials gave him a check immediately.

Similarly, the CM granted one lakh to Narayana Rao of Vepada of Vizianagaram for bone marrow cancer, one lakh each to Pilli Lakshmana of Manyam for tumor treatment, Ch Lokesh for enzyme replacement therapy, Makkuva Jasvitha of Saluru for congenital deformity, Mudili Sridhar of Gurugubilli for heart surgery, Lakshmi of Alajangi towards unemployment aid.
