HMDA clears encroached land at Narsingi

HYDERABAD: Intensifying their drive against land sharks, officials from Hyderabad metropolitan development authority (HMDA) freed government land in Narsingi village from the clutches of encroachers early Wednesday morning. The land was acquired by HMDA for the outer ring road (ORR).

Officials from its enforcement wing, with the support of police, demolished structures and cleared the encroached land measuring three guntas on survey number 189 and 205. It was occupied illegally by anti-social elements.

This operation was similar to the one taken up at Shamshabad on Tuesday, where HMDA authorities demolished illegal constructions on a portion of the 181-acre land, which was acquired by HMDA in 1990.
