Mangaluru: Two construction labourers died and one seriously injured when the retaining wall alongside the site collapsed on Friday afternoon at Karangalpady in Mangaluru.
Sources said that the incident took place around 1 am when the labourers were working at the site.
The fire department officials who rushed to the spot for the rescue operation removed the labourers stuck inside the debris. Bhimesh (25) of Bagalkot and Masrigul (20) of West Bengal died in the incident. Another labourer Hanikul sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital. Four others too sustained minor injuries.
Sources said the incident took place around 1 pm and was unnoticed for about 15 minutes.
