Hyderabad: Examiners want to get better returns
Hyderabad: With the Intermediate exams (set to begin from March 2) soon to be followed by spot valuation, lecturers from three districts who will be involved in correcting the papers in Hyderabad are seeking better amenities and a reduced work burden.
Nearly 8,000 lecturers from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak districts will be correcting exam papers at the government junior colleges in Gunfoundry, West Maredpally and Kachiguda as well as in Pragathi College, Koti.
Intermediate JAC president Madhusudhan Reddy urged the authorities to reduce the work burden by asking lecturers to correct 20 papers daily instead of the existing 30-paper rule.
“Instead of full day duty, staff should be employed either in morning or afternoon shifts. Most of these centres are overcrowded with lecturers on valuation duties and hence care should be taken to provide the required facilities,” he suggested.
Spot valuation of all subjects except Sanskrit and Arabic will start from March 18 and continue for almost a month.
