THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker P. Sreeramakris-hnan has said research has to be undertaken in science-related sectors and it needs to be probed why the sector is so tardy. He was speaking after inaugurating 'Smriti Sandhya'in memory of writer, filmmaker and former forensic director Dr. Muralikrishna here on Saturday. The Speaker opined that life, death, mind and imagination which are considered as magical phenomena should undergo more scientific research.
He felt that if there is lack of proper research in such topics then chances of them being termed superstitious cannot be ruled out. Speaker said that late Dr. Muralikrishna had delved on life after death. Memoirs by Dr. Muralikrishna's friends titled, 'A Magical World of Extra Sensory Capabilities' was also released by the Speaker and was received by Prof. G. N. Panicker. ADGP South Zone B. Sandhya presided over the function. Satirist Sukumar and criminologist James Vadakkancherry also attended the memorial programme.
