Cancel Kerala Law Academy affiliation: Johnson Abraham

Mr Abraham also asked the state to take over the college considering the future of the students.

Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC treasurer Johnson Abraham, who is a member of the syndicate sub-committee that probed into the allegations against the Law Academy and who submitted a dissent note, has asked Kerala University vice-chancellor P.K. Radhakrishnan to cancel the affiliation of the Kerala Law Academy Law College. Mr Abraham, in a letter submitted on Saturday, also asked the VC to remove the Kerala Law Academy Law College principal Lakshmi Nair from the post on the basis of the findings of the sub-committee.

Mr Abraham also asked the state to take over the college considering the future of the students. Mr Abraham also urged the VC to register a criminal case against Ms Nair over complaints of harassment of students that they were denied marks in internal examinations. He also asked the government to take back the 11.49 acres of land assigned to the college.

Meanwhile, ABVP, which has rejected the sub-committee’s report, has decided to start a 48-hour fast in front of the residences of education minister C. Raveendranath and revenue minister E. Chandrasekharan on Sunday alleging that the government and the management were acting in collusion and demanding the resignation of the principal. They have also asked the government to take over the land assigned to the Law Academy.
