Former secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi P Padmakumar joins CPM
Thiruvananthapuram: RSS leader and former secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi P. Padmakumar has joined CPM protesting “demonetisation” of high-value banknotes and alleged move to destroy the cooperative sector of the state. “An activist who loves the country cannot approve the stand taken by O. Rajagopal MLA or BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan against the cooperative movement,” he told reporters here.
He felt the CPM was the real patriotic party as was evident from its stand against the imperialist policies of America. “I also condemn the politics of violence followed by the CPM,” he said. CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan confirmed Mr Padmakumar had joined his party and claimed that 150 RSS activists working at various levels would join the CPM soon. The date of the convention announcing their joining will be finalised soon and Mr Padmakumar would be accommodated in a deserving position he added.
