Kishan Reddy visits Khairtabad Ganesh statue

Hyderabad: BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy offered prayers at the Khairatabad Ganesh on Wednesday and attributed the unity among Hindus to the festivities.

“The festivities around Lord Ganesh were started by Balagangadhar Tilak in opposition to the restrictions placed by the British. In Hyderabad, they were celebrated with fanfare first by Tiger Narendra,” he said.

Calling for unity among Hindus he said, “Hindus should co-exist as relatives. Conspiracies are being hatched at the international level to weaken Hindu society. Secularism will be intact in society and there will be peace in the country as long as Hindus are in majority. We should work towards enlightening Hindus. I congratulate all those who are behind holding this carnival.”
