PCB fails to check froth
The residents have a new problem now.

Hyderabad: Foam returned to Dharaninagar, Kukatpally, a day after Pollution Control Board officials sprayed anti-foaming solution. PCB officials, however, did not return.
The residents have a new problem now. Their walls, flooring and even plants have a pinkish tinge, the result of the foam evaporating. Metallic objects are turning black.
Locals are alleging that their children are developing skin rashes. “I had to rush my son to hospital as he developed boils all over his body. There is a steady itch. We don’t know what is triggering this,” said Ms Kajama. Their home was covered by foam on Saturday morning.
The PCB said there was no toxicity in the foam. But Prof. Babu Rao, retired chief IICT scientist asked why the PCB was not analysing the foam. “The water and foam may have chemicals in it,” he said.
Foam that occurred at other lakes are also leaving a red precipitate behind and locals said their silver articles were turning black.
