Bar bribery case: K M Mani welcomes further probe

He alleged that the case was cooked up due to the political stand adopted by him.

Kottayam: Kerala Congress (M) chairman K.M. Mani has welcomed the further investigation into the bar bribe case ordered by the Vigilance court, Thiruvananthapuram. However, he reiterated that that there was a conspiracy behind the case. He alleged that the case was cooked up due to the political stand adopted by him.

“I welcome the further investigation ordered by the Vigilance court. Let any investigation happen. I have no ill-will towards anyone. I am not commenting more since the issue is under consideration of the court,” Mr Mani maintained. Referring to SP R. Sukesan, Mr Mani said that the same Vigilance officer who submitted a report acquitting him in the case had again given a report demanding a further investigation. This was unfair, he said.
