Malayalam actress assault: Kerala High Court dismisses driver martin bail petition

Kochi: The Kerala High Court dismissed the bail application of Martin, an accused in the actress assault case. Martin was part of the gang that picked up a fight with the driver of the SUV in which the actress was travelling. Martin was driving the van that deliberately hit the actress’ car. Pulsar Suni was travelling in the van and he then boarded the SUV.

The gang kept her as a hostage in the car for nearly two hours. Martin sought bail in the case arguing that continued detention in judicial custody is unnecessary. Earlier the HC had dismissed the bail application of Dileep, the actor who conspired with Suni to commit the crime. Dileep is lodged in the Aluva Sub Jail.
