Sub-registrar takes bribe of Rs 35,000, caught

The ACB said her driver G. Ramakrishna worked as the conduit for her. Ms Sangeetha was arrested and produced before the special court for ACB cases.

Hyderabad: Sub-registrar Devulapally Sangeetha working at Maheshwaram in Ranga Reddy district was caught by the ACB while accepting a bribe of rS 35,000. She was trapped in her office while taking the money from an advocate, Mr Arshad Hussain.

The bribe was meant for executing registrations, general power of attorney, mortgage deeds and allotment of document numbers pertaining to the advocate's client. Mr Hussain lodged a complaint with the ACB about the bribe demand.
