Hyderabad: A 22-year-old choreographer, Jathavath Dasru, who sexually assaulted a minor girl was arrested by the Chaitanyapuri police on Thursday.
Chaitanyapuri inspector S. Sudarshan said that in March, Dasru went to teach dance at a school where the victim was studying. He developed a friendship with the girl and lured her on the pretext of love.
In April, he went to her house at Kothapet and sexually assaulted her, the police official said.
On June 24, Dasru took her to his native Alikol thanda in Shamshabad after promising to marry her.
When her mother called Dasru over the telephone and requested him to drop her back, he asked her to visit his village and talk about the marriage.
As the girl is a minor, the villagers did not accept Dasru’s marriage proposal, police said.
Dasru called his friend K. Sakru, 28, to get a bike and the duo took the girl on their bike to Toopragadda to the former’s relative's house where he sexually assaulted her.
Based on a complaint from the girl’s mother, the police traced the victim to Shamshabad and arrested Dasru. The girl has been sent for medical examination.
Police is looking out for Sakru who provided the motorcycle for Dasru to kidnap the girl.

Pretending to be SBI staffer Rajveer Singh, the accused, Asraft Ali, 38, of Delhi collected the card details of the victim and transferred the money from the victim’s accounts to his own. Police is looking out for one Kachodo who taught him the tricks
