THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state Assembly on Monday remembered the contributions of former Speaker and minister T.S. John who died recently. The house adjourned for the day after the obituary reference as a mark of respect. Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan said that Mr. John was a model politician as he was a principled politician. He had proved his skills as an efficient politician and social worker.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Opposition leader remembered the initiatives taken by Mr John in addressing issues of plantation workers. Mr Vijayan said that being a lawyer, he could discharge his duties as a Speaker and minister more efficiently. Mr Chenniithala said that Mr John always echoed the concerns of poor farmers and stood for the cause of common man.
