CRPF sub-inspector Jayachandran Nair's mortal remains cremated
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The mortal remains of CRPF sub-inspector Jayachandran Nair, who was killed by terrorists in South Kashmir's Pulwama district, was cremated at his home village in Palode near here with military and state honours on Monday. Forest minister K. Raju represented the State Government.
The body was brought by an Air India flight here late on Sunday night. CRPF officials received the body of the 52- year-old and gave him a guard of honour at the airport. Many people from several walks of life, including politicians, police officials and Army personnel paid their last respects to the departed soul at his home and earlier at the airport. Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi paid his respects at the jawan’s home at Palode. Minister Kadakampally Surendran, paid respects at Thiruvananthapuram airport.
