Slaughter ban will trigger riots: PWD Minister G Sudhakaran

Kottayam: The decision of the Central Government banning the slaughter of cattle will create riots in the country, said Public Works Minister G. Sudhakaran. “If that happens, people will overthrow the government in a democratic way”, said Mr Sudhakaran while inaugurating the new building of the Aymanam panchayath on Saturday. Mr Sudhakaran ridiculed the Centre for attempting to get into the “cattle business”. “The central government says that we should not sell cattle. Instead it should be given at the centre and they will purchase it”, he said.
