MET forecasts thunder, rain in Hyderabad today
Hyderabad: Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds are “very likely” to occur on Friday at isolated places in Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam and Warangal districts, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. Nalgonda saw a little rain on Thursday, the weather office said.
According to the IMD, the thunderstorm would be caused by a trough stretching from north Telangana to Cape Comorin.
The forecast for the rest of the state is light to moderate rain was very likely to occur at isolated places over the state. Maximum temperatures likely to be above normal by up to 4ºC at some places; a few places are likely to experience temperatures above 42ºC.
On Wednesday, the city recorded a maximum of 41ºC. The mercury touched 43ºC at Ramadungam. Weather officials predicted rain or thundershowers could occur towards the afternoon or evening on Friday in Hyderabad.
