Jagtial youngster demands Kingfisher beer in all wine shops to beat the heat

WARANGAL: In a bizarre incident, a youngster from Jagtial town submitted an application to the district officials on Monday urging them to restore branded Kingfisher beer at the wine shops and bars in Jagtial district.

The officials who were holding a Prajavani programme were surprised while going through the application of one Beeram Rajesh.

After submitting the application to the additional collector B.S. Latha, Rajesh alleged that people were running belt shops in several villages and selling liquor at exorbitant rates. Owners of liquor shops have formed a syndicate through which they are selling adulterated liquor, he alleged.

He urged the authorities to ensure that Kingfisher beer would be made available at all wine shops as summer had started.

Latha submitted the application to the district collector Yasmin Basha, who forwarded it to officials of the prohibition and excise department.
