KOLLAM: A 26-year-old woman died after she fell on the road while trying to escape from a pack of stray dogs that tried to attack her at Chavara on Monday evening. Ameena of Ayisha Manzil, Panmana was on her way to buy milk from a nearby milk society by 3.30 pm when she was threatened by stray dogs.
Ameena ran in an attempt to save herself from the dogs and stumbled upon the edge of the road and hitting her head on the road. Passersby took her immediately to the Karunagappally taluk hospital where she was declared brought dead. The body will be released to relatives after autopsy on Tuesday. Ameena leaves behind her husband Sajeev, children Ayisha, 7, and 7-months-old Adil.
