Kozhikode: KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran has flayed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for being rude to the family of Jishnu Pranoy, the student of Nehru College, who allegedly committed suicide recently. Inaugurating a one-day UDF protest meeting demanding justice to Jishnu’s family at Valayam on Monday, he said that the body language of the CM betrayed his attitude. “How can a chief minister say that he cannot visit all homes and that he would visit Jishnu’s family when the time for it comes?” he asked.
The UDF will kickstart the second phase of the agitation soon demanding the arrest of all the accused in the case, Mr. Sudheeran said. Congress leaders Mullapally Ramachandran MP, K. Praveen Kumar, K.P Anilkumar and IUML leader Soopy Narikkatteri among others spoke. Mr Sudheeran also spoke at a meeting organised by the district Mahila Congress at Kidson Corner here in protest against the assault on the film actor.
