Kurnool Church Auctions Two Eggs for Rs.4,500

Kurnool: Christmas night in Karumanchi, a village located in Aspari mandal of Kurnool district, became the talk of the town when two ordinary chicken eggs fetched ₹4,500.

This happened as part of the Christmas celebrations in the village, a day when people traditionally indulge in acts of generosity and charity.

In this case, some locals could donate only two eggs to their church. Subsequently, church authorities decided to auction these eggs as the highlight of the event.

During the auction, Thyagaraju, a young participant, purchased the eggs with his winning bid of ₹4,500. This unexpected outcome left both participants and onlookers in awe, as nothing like this had ever happened before in the village.

However, auctions like these are not entirely uncommon in the church's cultural and charitable activities. Typically, donated items are auctioned to raise funds for various charitable causes.
