Pratishta Mahotsav begins on a grand note
HYDERABAD: The Pratishta Mahotsav of five Jain saints began on Saturday at the Dadawadi Karawan Jain Mandir in the city.
The 206-year-old temple, the oldest in the city, will host the three-day rituals until November 28. The Pratishta ceremony involves the consecration of the idols of Lord Adinath Bhagwan (Charan Paduka), Lord Neminath (Charan Paduka), Dada Kushal Gurudev, Bhomiya Maharaj and Padmavati Mata.
The rituals are being held under the guidance of Acharya Shri Abhaysenji Marasaab. More than 15,000 Jains and dignitaries from various walks of life are to take part in the Mahotsav.
