Hyderabad: The National Institute of Nutrition is celebrating its centenary year. An international conference themed ‘Nutrition before, beyond and during the first 1,000 days of life – evidence and action’ will be held.
Dr Anura V. Kurpad, a nutritional scientist who will be speaking at the conference said, “Nutrition given to an infant in the first 1,000 days of life gives an unique opportunity for optimising health and nutrition outcomes. In the present times, the increasing disease burden demands that there is optimisation of nutritional food so that the child develops a good immune system to fight diseases.”
