Chennai: The much anticipated Nadigar Sangam’s annual general body meeting will be taking place on Sunday at 2 pm in Chennai, but with major change in the venue.
It was scheduled to be held at Loyola College earlier but due to an alleged threat the college administration denied permission to hold the meeting. Now it will take place at Nadidar Sangam grounds at T. Nagar at the scheduled date and time, said general secretary Vishal.
All members are expected to attend the major event. Proper arrangements have been made with security and police protection, Vishal said. “We heard there are some threats. In way it is a blessing in disguise. We always wanted to hold our meeting on our Sangam premises,” he said.
Among other resolutions, Indian cinemas centenary celebrations and celebrating legendary MGR’s 100 years are expected to be passed at the meeting.
