Justice Muhamed panel to begin hearing on Kerala High Court ruckus
Kochi: Justice P.A. Muhamed, who was appointed to probe into the ruckus at Kerala High Court premises, has assumed charge. Justice Muhammed received the copy of government order the other day appointing him to head the judicial commission. Justice Muhammed would be probing into the tussle between lawyers and media persons on July 20, 2016. The Commission is mandated to probe into the tussle at a road leading to the High Court and the matters related to police disbursing the crowd using force.
Justice Muhammed said the commission will begin hearing soon. Government ordered a judicial probe after a section of lawyers obstructed the entry of journalists to the High Court and other courts. Even after holding high-level meeting, the lawyers continued to object the entry of media persons at various courts. The High Court has recently brought guidelines for legal reporting.
