She was speaking at a program on ‘ Creating Safe Public Spaces for Woman: Challenges and Way Forward’ organised by The International Foundation for Crime Prevention & Victim Care (PCVC) in association with US Consulate. Community Led Action Program by Police (CLAPP) is a joint effort between She Team Hyderabad Police and students of St Mary’s College to identify interventions for addressing sexual harassment of women.
Speaking at the event Transgender Rights Activist Vyjayanti Vasantha Mogli, discussed the importance of inclusivity in movements of gender justice.
“Structural correction should happen in the laws and all genders should be viewed equally,” Vyjayanti said. She said that even now firms which project themselves a women and LGBT friendly are not willingly ready to employ transgenders.
