Governor, CM grieve 12 AP workers' death in Karnataka

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy have expressed grief over the death of 12 AP workers in a road accident at Chikkballapur in Karnataka on Thursday.

The workers from Gorantla mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling for work crashed into a stationary tanker. Another worker with serious injuries is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Governor Abdul Nazeer has offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy termed the incident very sad. He assured that the government will provide all necessary support to the bereaved families.

Telugu Desam general secretary Nara Lokesh expressed shock over migrant workers belonging to poor agricultural families being killed in the accident in Karnataka.

Lokesh sought help from AP government for the victims’ families.
