Traffic Curbs, Road Diversions in Hyderabad for Immersion: Check Alternate Routes
HYDERABAD: In view of the immersion procession on Thursday, Hyderabad police has issued a traffic advisory for movement of vehicles. Vehicular movement will be restricted or diverted on a need basis on main procession routes from 6 am of Thursday till Friday.
* Traffic restrictions on PVNR Marg and Tank Bund from Telugu Talli Junction to Khairatabad via PVNR Marg, NTR Marg, Imax may extend from Thursday morning to Friday evening.
* Facility to cross from the West to East or vice versa has been provided at the Basheerbagh Junction only.
* Commuters must use the Inner Ring Road and Begumpet area or the Outer Ring Road to avoid diversions.
* All lanes leading to the main procession route will be barricaded.
* Vehicles or public planning to watch the procession have to park vehicles at designated locations around Tank Bund. Inter-dtate and inter-district lorries are not allowed in Hyderabad from Thursday 8 am to Friday 8 am.
* RTC buses will be stopped when the procession reaches its peak.
* TSRTC will provide alternative routes keeping in view the restriction imposed on the movement of vehicular traffic.
* Private buses should operate from locations provided outside the city and should not enter the city between 6 am on Thursday and 10 am on Friday.
* People coming from airport or going to airport should avoid using Necklace Road, NTR Marg, Tank Bund, and the main procession route.
* Citizens have been advised to junctions at MJ Market, Khairatabad, GPO Abids, Liberty, Ranigunj, Telugu Talli Statue, Kavadiguda, Narayanaguda, RTC Crossroads, Musheerabad Crossroads, Tank Bund, NTR Marg, Necklace Road (PVNR Marg), and People’s Plaza.
CYBERABAD:
* Restrictions imposed till Friday at IDL Tank near Kukatpally, road will be closed from IDL Tank entrance to Rainbow Vista T-Junction for traffic.
* Vehicles of visitors and general public will not be allowed towards IDL Tank.
* Traffic from Kukatpally ‘Y’ Junction to Hitec City and Madhapur has been diverted towards JNTU, Forum Mall towards Hitec City, Madhapur.
* Traffic from Hitec City, Madhapur to Kukatpally ‘Y’ Junction via Kaithalapur must take Rainbow Cista-Moosapet Road towards Kukatpally ‘Y’ Junction, Balanagar.
* Vehicles with idols from Bowenpally and other colonies of Secunderabad near Hasmathpet Tank in Alwal should enter Hasmathpet Tank via Anjaiahnagar
* After immersion, vehicles shall exit from Old Bowenpally, Mosque Road, and Harijan Basti.
* At Katta Maisamma Tank near Suraram, vehicles from Balanagar, and Jeedimetla towards Bahadurpally, Bachupally, and Gandimaisamma Junction will be diverted at Suraram Village near Sub Registrar office, Bowrampet, Gandimaisamma.
* Vehicles from Gandimaisamma-Bachupally, towards Jeedimetla-Balanagar will be diverted at Bahadurpally Junction Dulapally village T-Junction, Industrial Area Local Authority (IALA), Jeedimetla.
* Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply between Balanagar and Fathenagar Bridge, Godrej and Erragadda, Ferozguda and Godrej ‘Y’ Junction, Kukatpally Gudenmet and Narsapur Crossroads.
* Vehicles coming from Ashoknagar, Beeramguda diverted towards Bachupally, Gandimaisamma and ORR and vehicles coming from Sangareddy towards Kukatpally will be diverted on to ORR.
* Heavy vehicles (including buses) from BHEL, Chandanagar, and Miyapur towards Ameerpet shall take diversion at Miyapur Crossroads, proceed towards Bachupally, Bowarmpet, Gandimaisamma take left turn towards ORR.
* Heavy Goods vehicles coming from Gachibowli and Patencheru towards Aramghar and Attapur shall not get down at Exit No. 17 (Himayatsagar), instead proceed straight on ORR and can get down at ORR Exit No.16 (Shamshabad).
* Vehicles with idols from Hayathnagar, and LB Nagar will proceed via LB Nagar Junction, Kothapet, Dilsukhnagar, and Shiva Ganga Theatre towards Saroornagar Tank.
* Vehicles from Vanasthalipuram will proceed through Panama Crossroads, LB Nagar Junction, Kothapet, and Dilsukhnagar.
* Heavy vehicles from Safilguda, and Mettuguda T-Junction will not be allowed to proceed towards Malkajgiri Crossroads from Mettuguda and will be diverted toward Lalapet. Public can travel to Neredmet via Lalapet, ZTC-HB Colony and ECIL.
* Traffic from Malkajgiri Crossroads will not be allowed towards Safilguda Junction and will be diverted towards Uttamnagar, and ZTC.
* Heavy vehicles from Neredmet Crossoads will not be allowed towards Safilguda junction and will be diverted towards RK Puram.
* General public heading to Mettuguda can go via RK Puram, Sainikpuri, ECIL HB Colony, and Lalapet.
* Traffic will not be allowed towards Safilguda Junction, which is exclusively for vehicles with Ganesh idols.
