Bengaluru: Thought leaders' conclave held
Bengaluru: In a bid to bridge technological challenges experienced by the teaching community while using it for various pedagogical activities, the city hosted a thought leaders’ conclave for school principals titled ‘Leveraging technology to accelerate learning in classroom.’
Leading discussions at the event, Geoff Stead, Director of Digital, Cambridge English Language Assessment, UK, said, “Children lead high tech lives outside school and relatively low tech lives inside school. They are digital natives, while we are digital immigrants! Technology can be a powerful tool to reduce this gap and to transform learning in a classroom. It can help advance relationships between educators and students, reinvent our approaches to learning and collaboration, and adapt learning experiences to meet the needs of all learners.”
The occasion also marked the inauguration of DPS Bangalore – South as an authorised Cambridge English examinations centre. The Cambridge English exams for schools are categorised for various age groups within K-12 aiming to assist and further enhance speaking, writing, reading and listening skills contributing to development of student’s personality.
