Jayalalithaa expected to leave hospital soon
Chennai: Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to a private hospital here last week, was doing fine on Monday and is progressing well. Sources said Ms Jayalalithaa has being doing fine for the past few days and she is at the hospital “only for rest”. “Amma is fine and she is doing well,” the source said.
Doctors attending on Ms Jayalalithaa had on Sunday ruled out shifting her abroad for treatment, maintaining that she was responding well to their treatment and was on a normal diet. They also rubbished rumours she will be taken abroad for treatment, saying there is no necessity at all for this.”
Meanwhile, police sources said they would file cases against those spreading rumours about CM’s health. “People who spread rumours would be booked under appropriate sections. We also appeal to the people not to believe rumours,” the sources said.
