91 MBBS seats under all India quota Filled
In all, 64 MBBS seats are yet to be filled in self-financing colleges and 75 in Annapoorana Medical College.
Chennai: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), on Monday, conducted MBBS counselling to fill 91 seats of the all india quota, which were reverted to the state. All the seats were filled.
With the Medical Council of India (MCI) making it mandatory to fill up all seats – both government and private – by September 30, the Directorate will be holding counselling on Wednesday to fill up the remaining seats, said Dr Selvaraj, Secretary, MBBS selection committee.
In all, 64 MBBS seats are yet to be filled in self-financing colleges and 75 in Annapoorana Medical College. Also, three BDS seats are to be filled up in government colleges and 440 in self-financing colleges, he added.
