University of Hyderabad students ignore probe
Hyderabad: None of the six students in University of Hyderabad who were issued notices and asked to depose in front of the proctorial board turned up on Friday
A senior university official said that the administration has asked them to depose again on September 6.
Five students were issued notices based on a complaint by two non-teaching staff members who were locked up in their office rooms for more than two hours in L Hostel of the university when the students were protesting last month against non-release of social welfare scholarships of the state and central governments.
One student was issued a notice regarding an incident last month in which two groups had clashed resulting in one of the students sustaining a fracture in his leg. There were allegations that students had been racially profiled.
