K T Jaleel says govt will go ahead with culling
The programme is scheduled to be launched on September 1.
KOCHI: Local administration minister K.T. Jaleel on Friday said the government will go ahead with its decision to kill dangerous stray dogs in the state. The programme is scheduled to be launched on September 1. Responding to the opposition expressed by Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, Mr. Jaleel however said that the government was not looking for a confrontation with the Central government on the issue. The minister took a dig at Ms Gandhi wondering how someone could be bereft of love for human beings and be animal-lovers. “Only people who can love human beings can love animals, too,” he added.
