Watch: Activist Trupti Desai thrashes man with slipper over false marriage promise

Pune: Bhumata Brigade leader Trupti Desai, who is known for campaigning against discrimination of women at religious place, was captured on camera thrashing a young man for allegedly duping a woman by making false marriage promises. The incident took place in Pune.

In the video, the man can be seen cowering as Desai, clad in a green kurti and a Nehru jacket, hits him repeatedly with her footwear.

The man allegedly exploited a woman sexually for several months by promising he would wed her and then broke his vow.

In the video, another man can also be seen hitting the alleged accused.

"You have four sisters, how can you treat her like this," they can be heard saying in the local language.
