Warangal: Dead lizard in midday meal
WARANGAL: Twelve children who ate lunch served at the Anganwadi centre in Venkatram Thanda of Kesamudram mandal, Mahbubabad district were rushed to the Mahbubabad area hospital after their teacher noticed a dead lizard inside a cooked rice bowl.
Students of a neighbouring government primary school had consumed the same food.
The students, aged between three and nine years, were immediately asked to stop eating the food.
Ambulances were called to transport them to the hospital. Though none of the students showed symptoms of food poisoning, some did complain of nausea after a while.
Parents along with their relatives arrived at the hospital in large numbers after learning about the incident. They waited anxiously while their children were being treated. Doctors who attended on the students said they were all out of danger.
