Hyderabad: Welfare minister Koppula Eshwar instructed of the minorities welfare department to appoint officials to executive posts of minorities organisations.
Mr Eshwar conducted a high-level review meeting on minorities’ affairs on Wednesday when he was informed that the executive posts in the Minorities Finance Cor-poration, Urdu Academy, Haj Committee and Sur-vey Commission of Auqaf are vacant. He asked the officials to ensure that all of these organisations have the regular officers.
He asked the officials to start implementation on welfare schemes as the government had already released the amounts for almost all schemes. He has suggested constitution of an enforcement committee in collaboration with police and revenue officials to identify encroachments on Wakf land and secure its restoration, He asked the Wakf Board to take steps to protect its property by initiating legal action against the defaulters. He instructed them register criminal cases against the land grabbers.
It was decided to distribute 67 four-wheelers to beneficiaries of the Minorities Finance Corporation on June 28 in a function at Haj House.
