Aranmula has longest wall graffiti

350-m long graffiti seeking votes for LDF's Veena George

PATHANAMTHITTA: A long train inscribed on a private compound wall here is perhaps the longest election graffiti in the state this season. The graffiti at Kuriyanipalli in Aranmula is 350 metres long and it takes a long walk to see the entire painting across the wall.

The train painted in real shades is part of the election campaigning for CPM candidate, Veena George. Party's 112 booth committee undertook the work realised by artist Sunil Viswam of FAC creation.

“It has got good publicity and several people are visiting the spot to see it,” the local committee secretary T.K. Janardanan told DC. Ms George, a television presenter, is pitted against K. Sivadasan Nair of the UDF and M.T. Ramesh of the NDA. In 2011, Mr Nair had won the seat by a margin of 6511 votes defeating K.C. Rajagopal of CPM.
