SC to hear Kavitha's plea against ED summons today

HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court will on Monday hear a petition filed by BRS MLC K. Kavitha, challenging summons issued to her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, after refusing a quick hearing, had said he would hear the petition on March 24, but it was later transferred to another bench, which listed it for March 27.

In the interim, the ED also filed a caveat petition, pleading with the court to hear their arguments before passing any order over Kavitha’s petition. Meanwhile, Kavitha was quizzed by the ED three times.
