Sprinklr, a US software company based in New York, offers to set up unit in Hyd

Sprinklr in New York informed KTR about their plan of setting up their office in Hyderabad with a work force of 1,000 IT professionals

HYDERABAD: As part of his visit to the US to attract investments to Telangana, IT and industries minister K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday met the leadership team of Sprinklr in New York, USA, who informed the minister about their plan of setting up their office in Hyderabad with a work force of 1,000 IT professionals.

Sprinklr is an American software company based in New York City that develops a SaaS customer experience management (CXM) platform. They also informed the minister that the estimated employee headcount would go up to 1,000 in the coming 3-5 years.

Earlier Rama Rao met senior officials of the world’s largest pharma companies, including Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson and and GlaxoSmithKline in the United States. The three companies together represent more than $170 billion in annual revenues.

Rama Rao met Dr Albert Bourla, CEO and chairman of Pfizer, along with the company’s executive vice president Mike McDermott, EVP to showcase the vibrant life sciences ecosystem of Telangana and understand Pfizer’s strategy and plans for healthcare and pharmaceutical sector in India.

He also met Dr Uwe Schoenbeck, SVP and chief scientific officer of Pfizer.

Later, Rama Rao met Dr Mathai Mammen, executive vice president, pharmaceuticals, R&D of J&), one of the largest life sciences companies, to brief him about the R&D ecosystem in Hyderabad.

The minister met Agam Upadhyay, SVP, chief technology officer of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), another Fortune 500 company, to introduce the technology and digital innovation capabilities of Hyderabad.

The senior officials of these companies appreciated the minister’s presentation and the efforts of the Telangana government to promote the life sciences sector with focus on innovation.

During the meetings, the minister discussed his vision for the life sciences sector and sought their suggestions on possible ways and initiatives that can help promote life sciences innovation in Hyderabad. He also invited them to participate in the 20th BioAsia convention to be held during February 2023 in Hyderabad.
