SSLC mathematics paper leak: Kerala to check teachers' role

The rules had been against any teacher running any private tuition agencies.

Thiruvananthapuram: The inquiry into the SSLC mathematics question paper leak has pointed fingers at some teachers. General education secretary Usha Titus has been investigating the role of K.S. Vinod, proprietor of the private agency, Malabar Education Research Institute (MERIT), based at Thottumukkom, Areekode. It was alleged that 13 questions were leaked to the students who took tuitions at the centre, sources said.

Vinod is a teacher at the CPPM higher secondary school, Vellachal, Tirur. The rules had been against any teacher running any private tuition agencies. Those under the scanner also include K. Sujith Kumar, a higher secondary teacher of Government welfare higher secondary school, Cherukkunnu, who prepared the question paper, a teacher of the Rajiv Gandhi higher secondary school, Mokeri, and a Kozhikode-based educationist who writes columns for SSLC portions.
