Uttam demands restoration of Old Pension Scheme

Hyderabad: Congress MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy urged the Centre and the state government to restore the old pension scheme (OPS) for their employees.

While speaking at a meeting of employees union of Railway Mail Service of the P&T department at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, he reiterated the demand for the abolition of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and restoration of OPS.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress had re-implemented the OPS in the states where it was in power and assured that it would be enforced throughout the country when the party returned to power.
