Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police will give permissions to event organisers to host New Year celebrations only after checking their previous history and if they produce excise and place permission.
Madhapur Additional DCP Nandyala Narasimha Reddy said on Monday that applications are available online. He said a case had been booked for the organisers of the Sunburn event for not taking permission and against BookMyShow for selling its tickets.
Event organisers would be responsible for illegal activities such as drugs and harassment of women in the premises during the celebrations, the officer said warned that legal action will be taken against them if found violating the norms.
Even those intending to hold New Year events in gated communities should take permission from local ACP to instal a sound system, he said.
